I would like to participate in a class, How do I start ?

If you are interested in participating in a class from our drop-in schedule all you need to do is show up, 5 -10 minutes before class is scheduled to begin. All classes are multi-level and everyone is welcome.

What is the difference between drop-in class and a pre-registered session and what are the fees?

Drop-in sessions refers to the classes offered on our seasonal drop-in schedule. Drop-in sessions are classes where sign-up/registration is not required, and you participate in a class by purchasing a Drop-in session pass. The Drop-in in session pass enables you to participate in any of the classes offered on the Drop-in schedule.

The fees for drop-in session pass include GST and are as follows:

  • 5 session Pass $65
  • 10 session Pass $108
  • 20 Session Pass $198
  • 1 time Drop-in $18

Pre-Registered sessions are classes in which you must sign-up. Pre-registered sessions are offered at a discounted rate and fees vary depending on number of weeks the session is running and type of session. Examples of classes that are not included on the drop-in schedule such are Pre-natal Yoga, Kids Yoga, & Yoga Nidra (guided relaxation). These specialized sessions run depending, number of registrants. Pre-registration is a must as class size is limited. Payment is expected within 48hrs of registering to hold your place. Do you offer discounts for students?

If you are currently attending College or University, or perhaps High School, we offer our drop in sessions passes at a student rate.

I’m not that fit, would I still be able to participate in the classes?

All classes are multi-level, everyone is welcomed, any size, age, fitness level or state of wellness. Perhaps you are recovering from an illness, cancer, or you suffer from rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, or MS, you too can start practicing yoga at any stage of life, of level of physical health and fitness. Transformations invites anyone seeking a healthy, integrated approach to struggles with self-acceptance, body image, over/underweight, chronic dieting, anxiety or depression.

Should I make my instructor aware of any health concerns?

Absolutely! These classes are all about you. When first beginning we request that you fill out a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire otherwise know as a PAR-Q.

If you have experienced any recent injuries, or come to the class with a headache, or have any history regarding your health you may want to share this with your instructor, do so. If you are pregnant please make your instructor aware. We are here to support you any way we can.

What should I wear?

Wear or bring comfortable clothing, no belts, buckles and try to avoid overly loose tops as they can get in the way. Change room is available.

Dress in layers to keep your body temperature comfortable, if you get to warm it is easy to de-layer.

If you are participating in our Urban Cardio Muscle Fusion classes, shoes are recommended as you will be rebounding on a mini trampoline called the urban rebounder. What kind of shoes? Clean Indoor shoes that are comfortable and supportive such as a cross trainer.

What do I need to bring with me? a yoga mat?

The Studio is fully propped so if you do not have a mat yet, you can borrow one of ours. Mats are available for purchase and are recommended if you plan on regularly practicing. Having your own mat can protect you from germs &viruses, although we do clean our mats some classes often run back to back.

Although the studio provides blankets, bolsters, blocks, straps &wedges, you may bring you own props for use in the class.

Do you supply all of the fitness & Pilates equipment?

Yes we do! We offer a variety fitness equipment to be used in our pilates classes AND IN OUR Urban Cardio Muscle Fusion Classes. We provide, fitness circles, mini balls, stability balls, tubing, weights and of course Urban Rebounders (mini trampolines).

Does Transformations offer Private you offer private group or personal Yoga or Pilates sessions?

Yes! Private group or personal Yoga or Pilates sessions are also available pending availability of studio and instructors. We can also come to your site, home, or event. We also offer private personal yoga/lifestyle sessions, serious inquires only.
